A wonderful Spring Break, I tell ya. Kyle FINALLY got to use some of his vacation days, thanks to his attending being on vacation. Yay!
We were able to spend a bit of time with Drew and Liz and watch their wedding plans come right along. A couples' night out thanks to Grandpa and Nana.... hibachi with Laura, Andrew, Drew and Liz. Good times.
I was so excited to meet a sweet friend of mine, Jessi for the first time in person! The blog world is a funny place. I knew her without ever meeting her, so finally seeing her and being able to give her a hug was pretty special. She and her family stayed with us a couple nights and we had the best time getting to know them. Jessi and I were able to sneak out one night to meet up with some of our buddies for a girls' night out. Thanks Randy and Kyle for watching all six kids the whole night... with knowing each other barely two hours. :)
Kyle, Hayes and I then escaped to Antlers for the weekend. Somebody has really been missing his Daddy and needed some one-on-one time. Thanks Minnie for keeping our little ninja and princess in line.
The cold weather rolled in on Saturday and kept us cozy in the cabin. There were movies, video games, naps and frito chili pie.
There may have also been some doughnuts, eggs and a boy on kitchen duty.
It was a pretty special trip... just taking Hayes. The first time Kyle and I discovered this ranch, Hayes was in my belly. Six years ago. Wow.
14 tellin' me what I want to hear!:
Glad that you all had a good time in spite of the weather! The ninja and princess and I sure did! We went shopping at Target and then they requested to eat at Red Robin and then after being in house all day Saturday, we picked up GG and went to McD's so they could run off some energy!!! Sorry you came home feeling so rough :O(.. but had a good time shopping today for their Easter clothes!!
How wonderful! The pictures are fantastic. I know you had a great time. We are on Spring Break this week. We don't have plans. At first I was bummed but now I am enjoying a lack of commitments.
What a special trip! You must tell me where that place is...it looks like just the place for Brad and Jake!!
Yeah for family time!
That looks awesome! And how special for Hayes to get some one on one time with the 'rents... :) It must be cool to have him old enough to go along! We are about to die for a babymoon - Alex or no Alex - but I just don't think it's gonna happen...
I can't tell you how wonderful it was to give you, Kyle and the kids a hug in person! Thank you for hosting us.
What a NEAT place! How wonderful that just the three of you got to spend some time together! YAY for doughnuts!
Looks like a great time! We could use some time together here as well. :(
Sorry, I missed you girls too.
Hey girl,
Thanks for the photography comments! I'm a work in progress...that's for sure. I am using the stretch template on blogger...I upload my pics as normal then go in and change all the dimensions before publishing. It really makes your pics pop so much more. If you ever want to know more specifics, let me know. I researched a few tricks as to how to get them big.
Your trip to Antlers looked so fun! I love it down there! So pretty. May have to steal the name of the area you stayed...not that we'll probably ever be down that way anytime soon =) Happy spring!
Okay. I just giggle every time I hear that your guys deliberately make a trip down there!! It's funny that we lived there for 2 1/2 years and thought it was just on the edge of ugh.
Seeing SE Okla through your eyes, however, is like seeing it for the first time! You three looked so happy.
I'm glad the you all had such a great family time!!
Miss you - lots!
so glad you got to spend some quality time with your family! looks like fun!
and great photography as usual!
I recognize Kyle's t-shirt - it hangs in Chris's closet too!! Glad you guys had a fun trip.
What an eventful spring break! I bet Hayes had a blast out there. Definitely a little boy's paradise. Hopefully that great spring break can hold you over for a while. The breaks never come soon enough, do they?
Oh and please keep the poncho picture forever. It's really wonderful.
We miss you guys already.
There is nothing more precious than that picture of Hayes following his daddy walking on that dock. Glad you guys got away. We had a great time at Tulsa seeing all our adult children at once!
Glad ya'll had an awesome Spring Break. Isn't one-on-one time with your children so precious? Hayes looks like he soaked it up!
