on my mind

Matthew 20:28
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Mark 9:35
He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”

Philippians 2:3-4
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

shop talk

In front of the Walgreen's lady, Hayes announces that he has to poop.

On the way home...

"Hayes, it's not polite to say you have to poop in public. You should say that you need to use the restroom."

"Why? You don't poop in a restroom. You rest in a restroom."

"Restroom is another word for bathroom."

"I don't have to poop anymore. It sunked back up into my body. It went right here to the biggest bone in my leg."

Once home, after he did his business, he informs me...

"Boys' bottoms look like tea pots and girls' bottoms looks like flipped over mountains."

May your conversations today be as informative as mine.

The Woman, My World

There's this girl.... And she's my world.

Well, today is Trisha's birthday and I've found good cause to hijack her blog once again. I want to let everyone know how much she means to me. I really only remember my life since her. I fall more in love with her as we travel down this road to whatever will be. It seems that residency is getting harder, especially lately. We both get frustrated, but I really feel closer to her than ever. And she's so pretty.

She really is the foundation upon which all of our future stands. Did I mention how much that I like to look at her? I mean come on....

So, we have been both working hard (her harder than me of course) these last two weeks and we are having a little getaway this weekend. I can't wait to spend some time alone with her while we're not trying to keep kids from fighting and I'm not consumed with residency.

She really doesn't like to be photographed, but these shots are a few that I found.

Trisha. I want to thank you for holding me up and making sacrifices for our lives together in Christ. Thank you for you committment to things Holy and your patience. I love you very much and wish I was with you right now instead of at this hospital.

And thank you Lord, for giving me a moment to post this in the middle of a busy day. Amen.

Happy Birthday Trisha

c to the r to the a to the z-y

I have finally updated Hewood. Of course you have seen most of the pictures on this bloggy blog, but there are a few new ones.

So delicious.

What's the word Fergie Ferg? Check it out.

So, I'm a bit delusional. Facebook is to blame. It'll make ya loco. Katie assures me it is only temporary. Thank goodness.

Rock. Rock.

I finally caved this weekend and joined. Holy freak! Could there be more people on it? I have to admit, it is pretty cool seeing everyone and their cutie patootie kids but I'm finding myself checking out people's profiles that I may or may not have ever had a conversation with. Help me.

Suspicious.

Kyle of course gets a kick out of it because you know, he would like rather be doing amputations or playing video games (whateva). But I think he is just as intrigued as I am at the people coming out of the woodwork.

They want a taste of what I got.

"Guess who I'm friends with now?"
"Who?"
"So and So."
"Are you serious? What are they up to?"
"I don't know. But we're friends."

Let the networking begin. That is the point of Facebook, right?

Ok, Mom, I know you are in the dark at this point... here's Fergalicious for your viewing pleasure. You're gonna love it.

I blow kisses.
