seven

Hayes, what a year it has been! So many wonderful things are happening in your life... so much to be thankful for!

I was watching your first year video yesterday and I'm having a hard time believing that we've already advanced into the land of losing teeth and bikes with no training wheels.

Has it really been seven years?

Seven years since I first held you and you changed my life completely?

You are quite an amazing kid. Dad and I are so thankful that we get to be on this journey with you as learn, grow and discover what God has in store for you. If I had to guess now, I'd say you just might grow up to be an architect or a donut maker. Or maybe a paleontologist or a cartoonist. Or maybe you'll venture into medicine like your dad.  Whatever it is, it doesn't matter because I know you are capable of changing the world. My prayer for you is that you grow closer to God each day and listen as He guides you to His perfect plan for your life. I know He's got big plans for you and your big heart.

Love you,
Mom

Happy #7 Birthday Hayes! Look at all those photos of our handsome Hayes too... I was thnking back seven years ago this morning of the automatic love we had for you when you finally arrived in our lives... You have made being a grandmother one of the BEST things in my life... I love all those special moments (doughnut datesETC.) we get to steal these days... I love your smile with those eyes that twinkle, your creativity, and how really smart you have become! I LOVE my name you gave me too.. So have a special happy #7 birthday and we all will celebrate it big time on Saturday! I LOVE YOU MORE!
