Sitting up in the fort, I see a boy who FINALLY was able to get outside, breathe some fresh air and play. What a pretty day!

I see a boy who is happy to hang out with his mom and wants to make her proud by showing her his cool Battleforce 5 tricks.

I see a boy who continues to amaze me with the things he knows. "We celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. because he broke the rules and taught the white people to love the black people." He has also informed Kyle and I that parting means to toot or burp. :)

I see a boy with a smile that will melt a girl's heart someday. Good thing he is going to be a "bachelor" when he grows up. That way I don't have to share him with another girl. :)

I see a boy who is quickly approaching six years of age. How does a mom come to terms with her babies just not staying babies for very long?

How sweet! I too have just realized how hard it must be to be a mother in law! My oldest is 14 and has all these "girlfriends" and it makes me want to tell them to stay away! He's all mine!

I don't think I could share him with another girl and I'm just an aunt!

It is hard to share them because boys kinda leave you when they think they have to be big and tough while girls stay closer to Momma (thank you Laura). It helps when you know they are madly in love and they have made a new best friend. But I remember that age 6 when they are in love with their momma and that's who they want to marry (they may actually say that)Then they get all independant, but that's better than the alternative! Hayes is so precious and deep thinking. He'll make some lucky girl very happy, heck he already compliments his Nana and Mini!
