christmas happenings

Looks like tomorrow will be a day of taking down the Christmas decorations. Didn't I just put them up? Another Christmas... come and gone.

It was beyond wonderful to have Daddy on vacation for a week. We did a lot of playing and watching movies. We went to see Alvin & the Chipmunks to make up for not being able to head back to see the grandparents on the day we planned. Tears turned to cheers as we loaded up in the car.

We had a wonderful time hanging out with family. I think it is safe to say that we are loved. :) We are truly blessed with all of the wonderful gifts we received. I am still trying to find homes for all of the Christmas loot. I can't decide if it's going to be stranded lego pieces or Nerf bullets that finally send me to an institution.

Just an observation from the two times we visited Santa this year... I'm contemplating wearing a Santa suit when I photograph my kids from now on... they always give him a sweet smile. No fair Santa!

This little guy didn't feel well for almost a week. He tried really hard to enjoy all of the Christmas festivities but his tummy had other plans. He turned a corner today and is back to being Happy Jack.

Anybody else feeling the cooped-up-ness and ready to get out of the house?
Psssst Kyle... see what a difference an eye lift would make? :)

What an interesting Christmas this has been. The snowy weather may have rearranged our plans a bit, but one thing remains the same.... a certain little baby laid in a manger many, many years ago. A certain little baby that came for you and me.

6 tellin' me what I want to hear!:

Love this post, especially that picture of you. I'm totally feeling the angst right now. Our decorations aren't even down and we are having a giant birthday bash on Saturday. UGH!

Christmas turned out well considering the weather and such. Being with family is such a blessing...so glad that baby came to earth for us and that my family made sure I know Him. I think I may be related to Santa. p.s. I like your eyes better the way they are.
